Portfolio
Every look is designed for the specific event — from the morning gaye holud to the evening reception.
Traditional red alta, gold-toned eyes, bold red lip with chandan bindi. Designed to photograph beautifully during the shubho drishti moment on a betel leaf.
Soft smokey eyes with a dewy base. Pairs perfectly with both Banarasi and contemporary lehengas. Lasts through gaye holud to reception.
Fresh, luminous skin with warm gold shimmer. Waterproof base that survives turmeric, tears, and dancing. Light enough for daytime, glam enough for photos.
Full glam with sculpted cheekbones, dramatic lashes, and a bold lip. Camera-ready for the reception stage and professional photography.
Subtle, sophisticated look for the post-wedding lunch. Soft pink tones, natural brows, and a fresh base that says "effortlessly beautiful."
Polished yet understated. Perfect for meeting the in-laws. Dewy skin, defined eyes, and a nude-pink lip that photographs clean.

Your Wedding Morning
A typical Bengali wedding morning with me — from first brushstroke to shubho drishti.
Skincare, primer, base — the foundation of everything. I arrive before anyone else is awake.
The most time-intensive part. Bengali bridal eyes need to be dramatic yet elegant — kajal-lined, gold-toned, with perfectly shaped brows.
Classic red lip, soft blush, highlight on the cheekbones. Setting spray to lock everything in.
Hand-applied chandan designs on the forehead. Traditional alta on hands and feet — the details that make a Bengali bride.
Banarasi saree draped in the traditional Bengali style. Final touch-ups, jewellery check, and you're ready.
You walk out looking like the most beautiful version of yourself. I stay on-site for touch-ups through the ceremony.
About Me
Bengali Bridal Specialist · Born & Raised in Kolkata
I grew up watching my mashi apply alta on brides in our Bhowanipore neighbourhood. That's where my love for Bengali bridal artistry began — not in a classroom, but in a totto ghor filled with the smell of chandan and tuberose.
After training at Lakmé Academy and assisting senior artists for 3 years, I started my own studio in 2015. My focus has always been one thing: making Bengali brides look like the most beautiful version of themselves — not someone else.
I specialize in the details that matter to a Bengali wedding — hand-drawn chandan bindi (never stickers), traditional alta, proper Banarasi draping, and a base that survives from the shankha-pola ceremony at dawn to the last dance at the reception.
Bride Stories
Lasted 21 hours Wedding, South Kolkata"Moumita didi understood exactly what a Bengali bride should look like. The chandan bindi was hand-drawn so perfectly, my thakuma said it reminded her of her own wedding. My makeup survived from 5 AM to 2 AM — through tears, sweat, and 47 relatives hugging me."
PPoulami & Aritra
Modern + Traditional Wedding, Howrah"I wanted a modern look but my mother-in-law wanted traditional. Moumita found the perfect balance — smokey eyes with a classic red lip and proper chandan. Both sides were happy, which is basically a miracle at a Bengali wedding."
RRishita Banerjee
3 events, 3 looks Full Wedding, Salt Lake"Booked the Sampurna package for gaye holud, wedding, and reception. Three completely different looks, all stunning. The gaye holud look actually survived the turmeric — I didn't believe it was possible until I saw it myself."
SSayantani & Souvik
